Televisão Independente é a segunda estação de televisão portuguesa de carácter privado. As emissões experimentais iniciaram-se a 20 de Fevereiro de 1993 como o quarto canal generalista, que nesta altura tinha o nome de "4" por ser a 4ª rede nacional de televisão.
